On her visit to the eastern Chinese province of Anhui, Economy Minister Denisa Saková (Hlas-SD) met with representatives of the Gotion battery company, to negotiate the building of the largest electric car battery factory in Slovakia. The main purpose of the minister's trip to China is to facilitate cooperation between companies in both countries. "China is a world economic power, with which the whole world is developing trade today. However, it is important to open up these possibilities for our companies through negotiations at the government level as well," said Saková.
According to the minister, the topic of the current negotiation with the president of Gotion was the progress in the preparation of the strategic park, but also the need for the investor to more actively communicate the benefits that the new plant will bring to Slovakia, employment and the entire region of southern Slovakia.
"We also visited the research center of this company together. At Gotion's headquarters, we saw the most modern and ecologically suitable procedures for the production of car batteries, which will also be used in Slovakia," said Saková. According to her, this investment can move Slovakia towards leading the automotive industry in Europe.
