Kosice airport reached the threshold of 500,000 processed passengers since the beginning of the year on Sunday (August 25), its spokesman Juraj Toth informed TASR on Monday, adding that the airport reached this level one month earlier than last year.
The 500,000th passenger was Patricia, who flew with Ryanair from Kosice to Zadar in Croatia. "Not so long ago, we anxiously waited until the last weeks of the year to see whether or not we would reach the goal of half a million processed passengers. It's absolutely amazing that we are able to welcome this year's 500,000th passenger at our airport already in August, and on the newly launched route to Croatia's Zadar to boot," said the airport's CEO Thomas Dworschak.
