The Slovak hospitals association, ANS. once again drew attention to the need for additional funding for the health sector this year and next. The group pointed to ballooning costs, due mostly to an increase in wages and inflation, that it will face in 2025. ANS expects an increase of approximately 140 million euros. In addition to the issue of finances, the association also wants to optimize the hospital network and reform emergency medical services. "I have to say that these will definitely be the brighter points of the negotiations, because we can see that we are moving forward," stated president of the association, Marián Petko.
