The prosecutor has dropped the charges against the financier Jaroslav Haščák in the Gorilla case. TASR was informed about this by attorney Martin Škubla. He explained that the prosecutor justified the cancellation of the charge by the fact that "the resolution of the investigator has no support in the evidence". The charges in the case in question were dropped on 2 September. In 2022, an investigator from the specialized Gorilla team accused the financier Haščák and four other people of setting up, conspiring and supporting a criminal group. Haščák was also charged with the particularly serious crime of laundering the proceeds of crime.
