State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, Marek Eštok, met with Nicolas Suran, the Ambassador-designate of France to Slovakia. Slovakia and France are strategic partners, and enhancing bilateral relations has long been a key focus of Slovak foreign policy. Eštok emphasized the desire to continue strengthening ties between Bratislava and Paris, especially following the formation of the new French government. Both officials highlighted the importance of the fourth Slovak-French strategic partnership action plan (2023-2027), which covers cooperation in areas like energy, defence, education, and tourism. Slovak-French relations continue to grow, evidenced by the increasing interest of Slovak students in learning French and several key commemorative events involving both nations.
