Tram service in Bratislava has been suspended since Sunday morning, as traction lines have been damaged by falling trees, Bratislava Public City Transport Company (DPB) posted on a social network.
DPB dispatched replacement buses instead of trams, however, these don't operate according to tram timetables.
Bratislava mayor Matus Vallo added that trolleybus service in the Slovak capital has been partly suspended as a result of the adverse weather as well. Some trolleybus lines have been diverted, as fallen trees have damaged dozens of meters of overhead lines.
