On Wednesday, President Peter Pellegrini received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha. President Pellegrini expressed a desire for a quick end to the war and showed support for humanitarian and economic aid to Ukraine. "This real aid will help not only the residents of Ukraine, but the eastern part of Slovakia can also benefit from it," he concluded. Also on Wednesday, the Ukrainian minister met with Slovakia’s Prime minister Robert Fico and Minister of Foreign Affairs Juraj Blanar. The trio discussed planned projects for their October meeting. In addition, they talked about the current situation in Ukraine which, according to Blanár, cannot be resolved militarily. "We agreed and the minister confirmed that the next peace negotiation must be with the participation of the Russian Federation," he added. He also promised that Slovakia will continue to support Ukraine in its territorial integrity and will provide it with humanitarian aid. According to him, the Slovak Republic wants to continue to help in the demining of Ukraine and to increase the supply of electricity. Sybiha thanked Slovakia for the help and support shown.
