Winners of the Slovak round of the First Global robotics competition will compete in Athens with their robot. The competition encourages high school students to innovate and tackle various topics. At a recent press conference, team mentor Adam Kukla explained that the robot, built in a month, must retrieve balls and transport them to elevated containers while competing against five others. Slovakia will be represented by students from the Gymnasium in Žiar nad Hronom and the Dual Academy in Bratislava. This year’s theme is "nutrition for the future," and students also submitted projects aimed at reducing food waste. The competition aims to create an Olympic-style event for young robotics enthusiasts worldwide, with participation from 190 countries.
