Slovak MFA urges Lebanon evacuations

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MFA) of the Slovak Republic has confirmed that there have been no reported injuries or casualties among Slovak citizens in Israel or Lebanon amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East. The Ministry continues to advise Slovaks in Lebanon to leave the country and is working with the Department of Defense to prepare for potential evacuations.

Interested citizens can register for assistance by contacting the Slovak Embassy in Beirut via email at cons.beirut@mzv.sk or by phone at +961 81313423. In case of emergencies, they can also reach the international operational crisis center at +421 2 5978 5978.

The MFA is closely monitoring the situation in Israel and recommends that Slovaks refrain from traveling to the country. Assistance is available for Slovak citizens already in Israel through the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Tel Aviv at +972 544556642.

The ministry also noted that "the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Tel Aviv and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have not yet registered the interest of Slovak citizens in evacuation. Israel's national carrier continues to operate flights, and Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv remains operational."
