Health Minister resigns

Health Minister Zuzana Dolinková aresigns. She announced at a press conference on Friday. She plans to deliver her resignation to President Peter Pellegrini shortly. Dolinková expressed that she feels a lack of support for advancing her goals and measures to improve healthcare, as she stated at a press conference on Friday. She criticized the approval of consolidation measures in parliament, saying,

"With the current setup and the approval of the consolidation package, I, as minister, cannot guarantee that our healthcare system is moving in the right direction—specifically, the direction outlined in the government's program declaration. I consider the consolidation of public finances unacceptable and unworkable for Slovak healthcare."
