Foreign Affairs Minister calls for international push on two-state solution

Foreign Minister, Juraj Blanár, called for increased international pressure to achieve a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine. Blanár emphasized that the two-state solution is the only fair and viable path to stabilizing relations in the region. His remarks come on the first anniversary of Hamas' attack on southern Israel, which killed over 1,200 people and resulted in more than 250 hostages being taken, with 97 still in Gaza. Slovakia condemned the attack and is concerned about the escalating conflict, which has since expanded to Lebanon. Slovakia also recently evacuated 34 of its citizens from Lebanon due to the worsening security situation.
