As of now, 490 schools are teaching under a new educational program, announced Education Minister Tomáš Drucker (Hlas-SD) at a press conference on Thursday. The goal is to equip children with transferable skills, improve literacy, and enhance critical thinking and collaboration. Drucker encouraged other schools to join in preparation for the upcoming curriculum reform. He praised the National Institute of Education and regional support centers for their assistance to teachers. More schools can register for the third round starting in November. The reform, aimed at primary schools, will be mandatory by the 2026/2027 school year and includes a new program and a network of regional support centers for educators.
