Foreign Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar (Smer-SD) awarded a commemorative gold medal to Italian Ambassador Catherine Flumiani on Thursday, recognizing her significant contribution to Slovak-Italian relations. The medal was presented at the end of her three-year diplomatic mission in Slovakia.
Blanar praised the strong bilateral ties, particularly in trade and energy cooperation, and thanked Flumiani for her efforts in strengthening relations across culture, economy, and education. Slovakia was her first foreign post as an ambassador.
