The Transport Ministry is planning to re-establish a regular flight route between Bratislava and Košice. The ministry is currently preparing the conditions for a public tender for an airline operator, aiming to have flights operational by late March or early April 2025.
The first step in this process involved meeting EU requirements to establish a public service obligation. The ministry reported successful consultations with the European Commission, and relevant information was published in the EU's official journal last week.
