President Peter Pellegrini will announce on Friday whether he will sign the consolidation package. Ahead of the decision, he will meet Health Minister Kamil Sasko to assess what can be offered to health workers, who have opposed the current measures. Pellegrini said his decision will depend on the outcome of talks between the health and finance ministries and whether a compromise is reached. Health workers have urged the President not to sign the package in its current form. Sasko expects to present a solution by the end of the week.
