The main priority for Hlas-SD is to ensure that the state carries out its social role, Hlas-SD leader Matus Sutaj Estok declared at a press briefing after the party's programme conference in the town of Liptovsky Mikulas on Saturday.
Sutaj Estok underlined that all state services must be available in every region of Slovakia. He also presented the programme of the party for the near future, focused on a fairer election system with stronger regional representation, more security and increased social care.
"The people need housing, jobs, education and health care and these are the very spheres, for which our party bears responsibility. Intergenerational solidarity with pensioners is a display of a mentally mature nation, but it's also necessary to start talking about the aid for the young families, incomplete families, single mothers and we'll need to pay more attention to them than before, so as to protect them from the fall into social poverty," stated Sutaj Estok.
