President Peter Pellegrini left on Thursday morning for his first visit to Germany, where he's slated to meet his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
At the beginning of his visit, Pellegrini will be received by Chancellor Scholz, the President's Office announced. Before his talks with President Steinmeier at the Bellevue Palace, he will be welcomed with military honours.
Later, Pellegrini is scheduled to meet Slovak expats living in Germany. He will also lay flowers at a monument commemorating the contribution of the Visegrad Four (V4) countries (Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland) to the fall of the Berlin Wall.
