Culture Minister Martina Šimkovičová emphasized the importance of fostering national awareness and cultural ties among Slovaks living abroad at the Slovakia and Slovaks Living Abroad Permanent Conference on Thursday. She highlighted the need for active communication with expatriates and stressed the significance of teaching the Slovak language within diaspora communities. Drawing from her experiences with Slovak expatriates, she noted the value of these connections and how they benefit the communities. The conference, which has been held regularly since 1999, plays a crucial role in maintaining this dialogue.
