While the Government Office sees the past year as successful, the opposition criticise the steps taken by Robert Fico’s fourth cabinet. MPs of the opposition Progressive Slovakia party, for example, denounce the amendment to the Penal Code, which Fico considers one of his successes. Other steps the opposition condemns are the scrapping of the National Crime Agency and the Special Prosecutor's Office and the bad situation in the health care sector. Fico, on the other hand, praised changes in the fields of media, consolidation and measures in the farming sector while House Vice-chair Peter Ziga said that he see no reason why the government shouldn't last a further three years as it has been fulfilling its manifesto.
