At a recent government meeting on crime prevention, State Secretary Michal Sedliak discussed several important topics, including the 2024 European Crime Prevention Award and the latest report on extremism. Slovakia’s project Šanca na návrat or "Chance for Return" won the prestigious 2024 ECPA award. This project, which helps prevent recidivism by supporting the reintegration of former inmates, has effectively reduced repeat offenses, reflecting positively on Slovakia's Correctional and Judicial Guard both domestically and internationally.
