Gov't to deal with salaries of nurses and emergency workers and Vrakuna landfill

At its regular session on Wednesday, the government is set to deal with the way in which a former landfill in Bratislava's borough of Vrakuna should be removed.

The Environment Ministry suggests using thermal desorption to clear up the landfill, adding that the whole procedure is important from both economic and ecological viewpoints.

The cabinet will also deal with the salaries of nurses, midwives, emergency workers and other selected groups of health-care professionals. Over the next two years, their salaries should grow in the same way as was planned before the adoption of consolidation measures.

The Environment Ministry has also submitted a draft schedule for cleaning watercourses in Bratislava region following the floods in September.
