The Investments Minister, Richard Raši, is in Cairo attending the World Urban Forum (WUF12), organized by UN-Habitat. Raši also held a bilateral meeting with Egypt’s Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Sherif El-Shirbini. In January, Bratislava will host a UN-Habitat event, co-organized by Raši’s ministry, to gather experts from Europe and America to prepare international guidelines on smart cities. Given Egypt’s experience, Raši invited Egyptian experts to share their best practices on sustainable urban development.
Following Egypt, Raši will attend the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, where eight Slovak municipalities will represent Slovakia's advances in smart city initiatives. Insights from this event will help shape Slovakia’s plans for a national pavilion at the 2025 expo.
