According to the Foreign Ministry, starting November 8, Slovak citizens can visit China without a visa for up to 15 days for business, tourism, family visits, or transit. This policy is set to bolster economic ties, as China’s vast market holds significant interest for Slovak investors and companies, claims Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár.
Upon entry, Slovak travellers will undergo standard immigration checks, with recommended documents such as an invitation letter, airline ticket, and hotel reservation. According to Blanár, Slovakia is committed to strengthening economic diplomacy in the Indo-Pacific, and mentioned that similar agreements with South Korea and Japan are planned in the future. Slovakia also plans to open new diplomatic offices in Malaysia and the Philippines to support these initiatives.
