The Centre for Ukraine at J.A. Reiman Faculty Hospital in Presov has been closed since Friday, the hospital reports on its website, informing that the scrapping of the centre reflects the fact that sufficient time for the integration of the refugees from Ukraine into the Slovak health-care system has elapsed.
"The Centre for Ukraine at J.A. Reiman Hospital in Presov has so far operated beyond the required time frame for reasons of solidarity, but with regard to the ongoing construction of a new hospital, the relocation of wards and limited capacity, it is no longer possible to keep the centre open," states the hospital, assuring that it continues to provide health care in accordance with the law, equally to all patients, including citizens of Ukraine.
The hospital operated the Centre for Ukraine from April 2022 and helped provide health care to Ukrainian refugees.
