Saturday, November 23, marks 30 years since Slovakia signed its individual cooperation program under the Partnership for Peace with NATO in 1994. The Partnership for Peace program was established "from the ashes of the Cold War" at the NATO summit on January 10, 1994. Thanks to this program, Slovakia became a NATO member on March 29, 2004, alongside six other post-communist countries.
