The ski season in Slovakia officially begins this weekend with openings at two major resorts: Donovaly and Jasná. Donovaly, the first resort to open, kicks off on Friday, offering skiing on slopes near Lomenej pome, with the Buly Express Záhradište lift operational from 8:30 AM. Evening skiing on the illuminated slopes will be available on Fridays and Saturdays, starting daily from December 26. Snowmaking has already begun, and more slopes will open as conditions improve. Similarly, Jasná, one of Slovakia’s largest ski resorts, opens on November 30. Known for its variety of slopes suitable for all levels and extensive snowmaking system, Jasná is ready for both daytime and night skiing, offering modern facilities and a packed event calendar throughout the season.
