Slovakia wants to continue leading global AI governance

Slovakia has the ambition to continue its leading role in the global management of artificial intelligence. Next year, a meeting of the Council of the Global Partnership for Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) initiative will be held here, said Ivan Ivančin, State Secretary of the Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatisation of the Slovak Republic, at the summit in Belgrade.

He added that AI has tremendous potential to improve quality of life, promote economic growth and help address global challenges that affect everyone.

The ministry further informed that the summit culminated with the GPAI meeting, where agreement was reached on the text of the Belgrade Declaration. This emphasises the importance of international cooperation and the ethical use of AI.
