On May 12, 2021, Slovakia signed a cooperation with one of the best universities in the world: the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States. Their memorandum on cooperation is based on an agreement to invest $225,000 into cooperative research for the next three years. Zuzana Botiková discussed the importance of this "innovation diplomacy" with Dušan Velič, the Deputy Minister of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization.
