Slovakia has been one of the very last countries in Europe to introduce incentives for buyers of electric cars, however from November 11, incentives have become available. Buyers of new pure electric vehicles can now enjoy €5000 off the purchase price, and €3000 for buyers of plug-in hybrids. But there's a slight catch: the incentives are only available until the end of next year, and only until the allocated budget runs out. Gavin Shoebridge asked electric vehicle advocate groups whether it's enough, and why they think these incentives took so long.
