Teachers and students from different departments within the Slovak Technical University came together to create something new: a seat for people with disabilities or reduced mobility. As part of a design competition from Volkswagen Slovakia, this mobility device this allows drivers to enter and exit a vehicle more easily, with the entire seat swivelling and leaving the vehicle on a right angle. Gavin Shoebridge spoke to Martin Balaž and Michael Paštéka to learn more about their creation and if it will hit the market any time soon.
