Slovakia's National Highway Company claims the new 15.5 kilometre (9.5 mile) Budimír - Bidovce bypass around Košice will take fourteen minutes off journeys which would have involved driving through Košice's motorways and arterial roads. Not only that, it's promised to drastically reduce driving time to Hungary and the far east of the country.
