Last year about €34 million was invested in clinical research in Slovakia, with 6,927 patients being involved in trials mainly in the field of oncology, gastroenterology, diabetology and neurology, according to a survey done by the Association of the innovative pharmaceutical industry. This is a third of the number of patients enrolled in neighbouring Czech Republic. Anca Dragu reports.
