The European Green Deal - an ambitious European plan for the green transition of European Union policies - affects many areas, building and renovation being one of them. Did you know that buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of energy consumption and 36% of CO2 emissions in the EU? In Slovakia, however, this subject still doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves. The Slovak association Budovy pre budúcnosť, or Buildings for the Future, is trying to shape public policies by promoting high quality in the construction and renovation of buildings.
