A 39 year old patient with Covid-19 is the first one in Slovakia to be treated with Remdesivir, a drug that slows down the multiplication of the virus in the body. It was administered in combination with Dexamethasone which helps reduce lungs inflammation. According to doctors from the Infectious Diseases Clinic of the University Hospital in Bratislava (UNB) the man's condition has improved, his fever has decreased and he does not need oxygen therapy.
