The 2020 ESET Science Award, which goes each year to one of five finalists doing scientific work in Slovakia, is a joint effort involving renowned scientists from around the world - with the prize, in fact, being presented this year by the 2017 Nobel Laureate for Physics. Jonathan McCormick spoke with the Award's main organiser Paulína Böhmerová just ahead of the October 14th ceremony, about the aim of the project, the difficult task of choosing finalists, and the many interesting people involved in the work of honouring them.
