The Louis Pasteur University Hospital (UNLP) in Košice has received €2.7million in EU funds to reduce the effects of the pandemic, according hospital spokeswoman Monika Krišková. The money will be used to buy medical equipment and update the hospital's infrastructure. UNLP is Slovakia's second largest hospital, which at the peak of the pandemic had 350 beds for Covid patients, thus being the largest Covid centre in the country. A total of about 3,800 patients with Covid were hospitalized there.
