Slovakia has been stagnating in using renewable energy sources for four years. The Eurostat data for year 2022, published at the end of 2023, showed. According to it, Sweden, Finland and Latvia have the highest share of renewable energy sources in their economies. Slovakia is on the 20th place out of twenty-seven EU members with around 17 percent.
Why doesn’t Slovakia use more renewable sources of energy? What can we include in them? Has Slovakia the potential in using some of these sources even more? Those are just a few questions with which we have approach Michal Mašek, the expert in geothermal energy.
