We start a new series of interviews with successful Slovak women in science. Once a month we will look at their journey to success, their role models and motivation, as well as their goals.
European Union average of women in science and research, according to the Centre for Gender Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava, approximately 30-35%. In Slovakia, the statistics is roughly the same.
The centre focuses on research activities between genders in various areas of life and their theoretical reflection. The introductory part of the series will be devoted to the position of women in our science. We invited Associate Professor Mariana Szapuová from the Centre for Gender Studies.
