Fast, high quality 3D scanning in real-time can offer increases in factory productivity and robotic technology, with one Slovak start-up working hard to make such technology a reality by 2016. Not only that, this small firm have gone one step further: patenting plans for a next generation 3D camera which would allow robots to see and identify moving objects. Gavin Shoebridge visited the offices of Photoneo in Bratislava and spoke to Tomáš Kovačovský to find out more.
