You can already drive across Slovakia in a typical electric vehicle with a range of around 130 kilometres per charge, however it's not as simple as making the same journey in a petrol or diesel vehicle. While there is already a country-wide quick-charging network in place, there are limitations on the routes you can take. Things are about to get a little easier for electric motorists though, following last week's announcement that 17 new high-speed quick-chargers are planned to be installed in the country soon. Gavin Shoebridge spoke to Radoslav Markuš from Západoslovenská energetika (ZSE) to find out when and where the chargers will be installed, and how powerful (and expensive) they'll be.
