Slovakia's newest electric car charger powered up

Following a series of diesel scandals last year, where vast numbers of diesel vehicles from various manufacturers were found to be deliberately operating above safe pollutant levels, electric cars have been basking in a favourable light, portrayed by many as a solution to polluted cities and oil dependence. One thing standing in the way of electric car adoption in Slovakia however has been a lack of fast charging facilities. Thanks to the likes of power provider ZSE and electric vehicle provider Greenway, this is beginning to change. Gavin Shoebridge attended the unveiling of the latest electric car quick charger in a shopping centre northwest of central Bratislava, capable of recharging a typical electric car from empty to 80% full in about 25 minutes.
