The Slovak summer school where foreigners spend their holiday

For 55 years now, the 3-week SAS Summer School of Slovak Language and Culture has been attracting students - either with or without Slovak roots - from countries all over the world. I speak with the school's director Jana Pekarovičová, as well as students and teachers, to ask why students keep coming back year after year, some of them multiple times. We also talk about a problem that is well-known to foreigners who live in Slovakia, namely that there is relatively little on offer throughout the year for improving their Slovak language skills on a regular basis. We touch on what options are available, and one student offers a promising strategy for improving one's Slovak despite the difficulties.
