Sts Cyril and Methodius, also known as the patrons of Europe, play an important part in the old Slavic culture. In 863, they began the task of translating the Bible into the language now known as Old Church Slavonic and travelled to Great Moravia to promote it. Nonetheless, these Apostles to the Slavs have quite a few churches dedicated to them also in the United States and Canada: Pennsylvania, Illinois, but also Texas, Ontario, British Columbia. Zuzana Botiková got in touch with some of them.
