The Carpatho-Rusyn people observe a wide variety of traditions and customs associated with Christmas holidays. John Righetti, who lives in Ambridge, PA, explains in an in-depth interview with Zuzana Botiková, how Rusyns managed to preserve those traditions over several generations, especially after moving to the United States at the turn of the 20th century. He says that the most important rule is "to live the traditions".
