The live program entitled "Radio Week" is considered to be the first broadcast with presenters speaking at microphones in the history of what is now the Slovak Republic. 95 years ago, in 1926, it was held exactly from Sunday, February 7, to Sunday, February 14. Back then, it was transmitted from the pioneering station based in the village of Haniska, 12 km from Kosice. RTVS editor Jan Kondor, who is based in and proud of Kosice, the eastern Slovak town has researched the event thoroughly.
