Dear listeners, dear friends of Radio Slovakia International,
New Year’s Eve is a time traditionally associated with looking back as well as making resolutions and plans.
In the past year, Slovakia has celebrated its 30 years of independence, but we have also marked 30 years of Radio Slovakia International in six languages. It has become an important form of presenting our country abroad and we know that many cultural institutions, embassies and foreigners living in Slovakia regard it as an important source of information.
We are delighted by the response of our audience - you - to our programmes. Behind every word heard on air is the professional work of our team and we are already working hard on programmes for the coming year. Its highlights will be the 20th anniversary of Slovakia's membership of the European Union and the 80th anniversary of the most important event in our modern history - the Slovak National Uprising, but also the presidential and European elections.
Dear friends, at the beginning of the New Year 2024, on behalf of the entire RSI team, I wish you, above all, much health, luck, happiness, satisfaction and enjoyable moments spent with our broadcasts.
