Victims speak out if they get support

On Sunday thousands of people, mainly women, took to the streets of Spain, Italy and France to mark the international day for the elimination of violence against women. No such marches took place in Slovakia although in the past two years 13 women were killed in this country by their husbands or partners. Anca Dragu discussed the issue of violence against women in Slovakia with Dušana Karlovská, the Program Director of Fenestra, a non-governmental organisation that has been helping victims of such violence for years.
