The marriage of creativity and academic education

The marriage of creativity and academic education

Most of us have been educated by a system whose methodology keeps typical "right-brain" and "left-brain" activities - e.g. the creative arts vs academic subjects - strictly separate. But there is a growing movement within education to change this - to use the creative side of our thinking to actually help us engage better in our academic learning. Nora Jahanpour - a Slovak with an unusual background who studies at Cambridge University - is deeply involved in this movement and plans to use the insights she has gained, when she returns to Slovakia, in her future work within primary school education.
