Philosophy has always tried to describe the world and to provide answers for the most important questions that have bothered humanity since the very beginning.
Even today, the situation hasn't changed. It seems that every era, every century or even every generation generates new philosophical questions. In today's society, the most acute problems seem to be global warming, the collapse of ecosystems or the extinction of species. How are these phenomena linked to human activities? Is it possible to change our consumer way of life, give up on globalisation and return to a local way of living or even to change our system of values and become less materialistic? Romana Grajcarová discussed all these questions with Emil Višňovský, philosophy professor at Comenius University.
