Early in the morning on October 7th, five environmental NGOs, Bod Obratu, Extinction Rebellion Slovakia, Greenpeace Slovakia, Študenti bez mena (No name students) and Znepokojené matky (Concerned mothers) blocked the entrance of four ministries and the government office in order to force the Slovak government to make climate crisis their priority and to fulfil their pre-election promises.

Later on the same day, the Ministry of Environment published an official statement reacting to the initiative of green activists in which the Minister of Environment Ján Budaj promised to convince his colleagues to try to set more ambitious emission reduction targets.
